3/11/2011 Blue on Highland, 882 Highland Ave., Needham, MA A dedicated crowd at Blue, with lots of requests. Glad we could pull together "Uncle's John's Band" and "Act Naturally." As always, a warm welcome from Matthew and his professional wait staff, especially T., M. and A. See folks in April!

3/5/2011 Nourish, 1727 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA. Auntie got to try the new stage at Nourish and had a blast playing for Steve's friends and relations, plus some of Derm's friends. Glad we could do the Everlys request! We didn't know that "Sunny Afternoon" was so danceable. Special thanks to the Nourish regulars who gave us such great feedback, and to all our fans and friends -- Dale, Janet, Roger, Victoria, Frank, Jan and Bruce, Phyllis and Jeff, and Joanie.

1/28/2011 Blue on Highland, 882 Highland Ave., Needham, MA Matthew welcomed us back to Blue and we played on a hopping Friday night! We were happy to play a few requests and take a few more for next time. (Peter -- we'll work on "Wabash Cannonball," and thanks for the kind words.) Glad to see Heather, John, Suzanne, Victoria, and others.

1/21//2011 The Java Room --espresso, music, wine bar, 14 Littleton Road, Gingerale Plaza, Chelmsford, MA.
Seemed like ages since we'd played Chelmsford -- in fact, it was a far cry from our last appearance on a warm August night, but the crowd gave us a warm reception nonetheless. We recognized many Java Room regulars. Special thanks to Mary and Henry for coming up to see us and for a great conversation between sets. Great seeing Deb, Sharon, Victoria, and the gang. And as always, thanks to the Java Room staff for their friendly help.

1/20/2011 Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub and Restaurant, 94 Hartwell Ave., Lexington, MA. Our debut at Waxy O'Connor's couldn't have gone better. The customers at Waxy's are as friendly as can be -- thanks to everyone who turned out, including John and Michelle, Karen and Sharon, and the gang singing along to our first set. We winged a couple tunes on request ("The Boxer" and "Paint It Black"). The staff at Waxy's was terrific -- our thanks to Gordon, Ryan, Billy, Amy, Taylor (we know we're missing some folks -- we'll get you next time!). Heather did a great job spotting us on sound. Also a delicious burger and fries and Sam Adams Boston Ale on tap! We'll be back in later February.

1/15/2011 Nourish, 1727 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA. Just a little snowfall on our winter gig at Nourish. The crew made us feel right at home (thanks Michelle, Michelle, and Neva). Great seeing Heather, Dale, Janet and Roger, Victoria, Grace, Peggy and friends. Debuted "Sunshine" and "Little Sister"!!

12/2/2010 Blue on Highland, 882 Highland Ave., Needham, MA Mimi's debut at this elegant place, thanks to Matthew Sullivan. We played straight through from 9:00-10:30 and were glad to see family and friends in the crowd, including Heather, Dana, Priscilla, Victoria, Lee and Alicia. Special thanks to Didi and her friend. Word is that there's a video coming out of this performance -- we'll keep you posted. See folks in January!

11/19/2010 Savoury Lane, 251 Arlington Street, Acton, MA. We played for the dinner crowd and the after-dinner crowd at Savoury. Brennan and his family provided drawings all evening. Jan, Bruce, and Susy gave us support early on, and Dale, Janet, Roger, and Heather kept it up till closing.

11/6/2010 Lobby Bar and Kitchen, 131 Broad St., Boston, MA. Mimi kicked off the Acoustic Saturday series. Our debut at Lobby Bar was great fun, thanks to the managers and waitstaff who made us feel at home, especially Peggy, Ida, Ashley, and Patrick. Mary and her four co-conspirators had one request after another, which we played when we knew them. Thanks to the other Lobby regulars and out-of-town patrons for joining us at Lobby Bar.

10/29/2010 Nourish, 1727 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA. One of the funnest gigs we've played in awhile, thanks to Karen and the great waitstaff at Nourish in addition to fans and friends who showed up: Steve Dineen and his folks John and Joan, Frank, Victoria, Heather, JG and Carolyn, and Steve's long-time fans from high school days Vicki, Ellen, and Carol. We debuted "Ventura Highway" and winged a request for "The Boxer." An excellent salad, apple crisp, and Guiness as well. See folks here in January!

10/18/2010 Tanner Tavern open mic, 474 Main Street, Woburn, MA. A fun open mic -- Manic Mondays -- run by Jonathan of J Blake Productions. We heard some great originals from Anthony, just in from LA to produce Jonathan Blake's newest album. Local talent Craig LaGrassa played a couple sets to warm up for his Parker House Grill gig. Mimi played too. Thanks to the folks who turned out for live music and to the excellent wait staff at Tanner!

8/14/2010 The Bolton Fair, The Fairgrounds at Lancaster, 318 Seven Bridge Road, Lancaster, MA.
Mimi's third year at the Bolton Fair. Thanks to all who came to see us, including Grace, Dale, Roger, JG, Jennifer, Carolyn, Jeff, Trish, Sandy, Beth, and all the Theatre III crowd. Thanks for the kind words, friend-from-California! Earlier in the day we were lucky enough to catch the Pueblo Nuevo Band, a Worcester-area latin group that really had it together. Theatre III gave a preview performance from this fall's musical Spelling Bee. We were followed by the Native American Women Drummers and the California Dreamers. Great food as always -- hope to see everyone next year.

8/7/2010 The Java Room --espresso, music, wine bar, 14 Littleton Road, Gingerale Plaza, Chelmsford, MA.
Summer night at the Java Room. Our first gig announced on Twitter! The Bertucci's next door got a little smoky, bringing the fire engines and causing a brief adjournment to the sidewalk where Mimi continued the show. After the "all clear," we debuted a bunch of new tunes by Stealers Wheel, Van Morrison, and a sort of new one (for us) by Foreigner. Thanks to everyone who came out to hear us, including Bruce from Drivin' Blind, Joyce, Sandy, Victoria, Mike and Elsa, and all the Java Room regulars. New friends Susan and Anthony provided plenty of encouragement as well -- we'll see you next time! As always, thanks to Candy for hosting us.

7/9/2010 Vinny's Ristorante, 76 Broadway, Somerville, MA A great summer gig in Vinny's front room and a terrific welcome from the regulars. We played in front of the chips (discreetly curtained -- thanks Carmen) with loads of friends in attendance. "Little Vinny" sang "That's Amore"; owner Vinny helped us out on "Under the Boardwalk"; and Reed and Lenny added high and low harmonies to "Wait"! After two sets we turned our attention to Vinny's special lamb osso bucco , sausages and rabe, and homemade pasta and sauce. Happy Birthday to Reed and thanks to all his friends who turned out to celebrate: Barb, Sue, Randy, Mara, Bruce, Lori, Sunny, and Rowan! Happy anniversary Lenny and Lisa! From the back room, Jan and Bruce dined and listened to Mimi's great mix, along with Katie and Rob. Thanks to Mary Beth and Don, as well, and a special thanks to Steve's hero Randy.

6/11/2010 Ichabod's Cafe, 166 Great Road, Acton MA. Mark, Kathy, Joyce, and Frank all came out for this summer show at Ichabod's. Thanks also to Maria, Deanna, Adam, Cameron and, of course, Sal. Hope to see everybody in August.

5/1/2010 Ichabod's Cafe, 166 Great Road, Acton, MA. Another great dinner, courtesy of Sal, and a fun night with friends of Mimi. Jeff and Trish made it up from points south. Steve Dineen of Drivin' Blind and Stacey came as well, and Steve played a mini set of Beatles, Traffic and Jorma's arrangement of a blues tune. Great to see Frank, Annette, Doug, Nancy, Sandy, and Donna. Thanks also to Maria, Deanna, Kimberly, Michelle, Adam, Cameron, and all of the regulars, including new fan Nick! In the Ichabod's tradition, Derm and Steve winged a couple tunes -- we'll work on the Beach Boys for Nick next time.

4/17/2010 Elks Club, Arlington, MA (joint appearance with The Wayback Machine) First of all -- thanks to Dennis for throwing a great party and hand-crafting the meatballs (also good for breakfast the next day, says Derm). Thanks to Arlington's own Wayback Machine -- Dennis, Don, and Phil -- for inviting Aunt Mimi to open and then sit in for the evening while the band kicked out tunes by Rascals, Hendrix, Beatles and the like. Special thank you to loyal Frank who tracked us down at Spy Pond and provided us with positive feedback throughout the evening. Hi to all Auntie's Arlington friends, including Paul and Mary, and Phil. Last but not least, thanks to all the dancers who kept the band working hard all night and cheered us on. Hope to see everybody again soon.

4/16/2010 The Java Room -- espresso, music, wine bar, 14 Littleton Road, Gingerale Plaza, Chelmsford, MA. Despite the rain, Mimi had a great show and met lots of new friends at the Java Room. Thanks to fans JG, Jen, Carolyn, Andrea, Sandy, Victoria, Donna, Annette, Doug, Lisa, Jack, Vicki, Mike (of the band Spies Like Us), and of course owner Candy. Happy Birthday to Santiago who was out celebrating with friends Charlotte and Joanne.

3/25/2010 J.J. Foley's, 117 E. Berkeley St., Boston, MA Ben Lynch from Metis Communications invited us down to play Foley's Live Music night in the South End and we had a great night all around, starting with two delicious Foley's dinners served up by Mike at the bar. Nice meeting Ben and Katherine from Metis Communications, and special thanks to Katie and Julie for coming for the third set! A great bar, nice people -- we hope to be back soon.

3/20/2010 Ichabod's Cafe, 166 Great Road, Acton MA. Steve and Derm couldn't have had a better evening than at Ichabod's! The chicken kebabs and Sal's roasted and spiced vegetables got things started off right. Then three fun sets while folks ate, drank and listened. Maria came up to sing "White Rabbit" (Auntie pulled it out of a hat, basically) and we decided to wing a couple more classic rock tunes while we were at it -- plus our usual off-beat numbers. Now we have to learn some Blondie and Pretenders. Frank -- steadfast lad -- kept our spirits up with finger snaps and even applause. Thanks also to Sal, Megan, Adam and all the regulars -- we'll see you in May!

3/20/2010 The Old Schwamb Mill, 17 Mill Lane, Arlington, MA Mimi returned to play another open house at this picture frame mill, a living history museum. We got a wonderful welcome from Grace, Peggy, Jennifer, and all the volunteers who make the Mill Arlington's friendliest historical site! Thanks to ALL of Auntie's friends who came to listen on this beautiful day -- Ben and Maureen (who danced); Dale, Janet and Roger; Jerold, Jen and Carolyn; Kevin (Aunt Mimi's photographer), Reed, and Leonard; Mark and Dennis; plus the Girl Scouts and mothers who came to learn about the Mill, listen to the music, and eat some cupcakes!!

1/9/2010 The Emerald Rose, 785 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica, MA. Another fun night at the Rose! JG and Jen brought Carolyn. Dale and Janet had dinner while Roger manned the Game-Boy. Elsa and Mike, Auntie's sound crew, sang along and helped us knock out some low-frequency feedback. Nice to see Alex and Wendy, and some new friends Mark and Chrissie. Special thanks to Sam, who got Aunt Mimi's whole "out-of-the-way" repertoire from the get-go -- and knew immediately that "Have You Seen Her Face" was a Byrds tune.

12/31/2009 Unums , 47 E. Pearl Street, Nashua, N.H. We rang in 2010 at one of southern New Hampshire's finest restaurants. A little New Year's dancing going on -- to John Denver, Buck Owens, and Leo Sayer! Thanks to Steve for opening his great restaurant to us and to Dan and the rest of the wait staff who made us feel at home.

12/19/2009 Savoury Lane, 251 Arlington Street, Acton, MA. Spring, summer and fall had come and gone since we played at Savoury, and we were glad to be back for some beef stew, roasted chicken, and the warm, friendly back room. Great seeing Jan, Bruce, Susie, and everyone else who defied the much-hyped storm (that didn't start till midnight). Greg, Wes, and the great Savoury staff made us feel at home, as usual. Thanks to Ellen of Two for the Show for setting it up.

Thanks to everyone who came out -- Barb and Boot, Steve and Lisa, Frank (Cokes are on us next gig, Frank!), Nancy and Richard (Rich of Keys for Largo), Phyllis and David, Rich and Jeanne. See you soon!

8/15/2009 The Bolton Fair, The Fairgrounds at Lancaster, 318 Seven Bridge Road, Lancaster, MA. Two fun shows in the sun, 90 degrees! Always great seeing friends Beth, Sandy, Red Molly, and new performers Matt Mariner and HawkFeather Dancers. Thanks to Greg on sound and Bob on transport!

4/18/2009 The Emerald Rose, 785 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica, MA Besides entertaining friends and regulars, we got to play for a surprise birthday party at the Rose. Happy 30th (or was it 19th?) J! One Foreigner fan was glad to hear "Fool For You Anyway," a new song in our act. Steve Dineen of blues band Drivin' Blind dropped by as well. Hi to Joan, Sandy and our other fans who stopped in.

3/7/2009 The Emerald Rose, 785 Boston Road (Route 3A), Billerica, MA Fully equipped, we had a great night seeing old friends and making some new ones. Steve's singing veterinarian in the Quannapowitt Players production of Key for Two brought some music lovers out to hear him for real with Aunt Mimi! Thanks to Gene (who gave us a thumbs-up on the Beatle tunes), Elsa, Dennis, Heather, Dale, Janet, Roger and all who dropped in to hear us.

2/27/2009 Savoury Lane, 251 Arlington Street, Acton, MA What a fun night! Steve's three siblings, along with cousins, outlaws and family friends; Theatre III folks, including veterans of Cuckoo's Nest; old band mates who googled Steve and stalked him down at Savoury; and even some Savoury regulars who had checked out Auntie on the web and thought we were worth a listen. PLUS some enthusiastic young folks and attendant families and the great deli crew at Savoury who made everyone feel welcome. The best acoustics of anywhere we've played. Thanks to Heather, Phyllis and Jeff, Jan and Bruce, Joan, Richard and Sandy, Gary and Sue (Gordon Lightfoot fans), Victoria, Sandy, Donna, Annette, Beth, Susie, Tom and Marlene, Steve and Molly, Brendon, Rod and Jay, and all who came down for a sandwich and some tunes.

1/17/2009 The Emerald Rose, 785 Boston Road (Route 3A), Billerica, MA Thanks to Elsa and Mike, Heather, and everyone from Arrow Paper (thanks for the Murphy's, Gary) for welcoming us to The Emerald Rose. Derm and Steve spent two sets sharing a vocal mike after a pick-up malfunction! Michael Booth gets Auntie's special thanks for coming through with the replacement microphone for the third set. We're looking forward to another fun time at the Rose on March 7.

1/3/2009 The Pleasant Cafe, Maynard, MA. An unexpected gig at a friendly local bar in Maynard, filling in for friends True West. Steve met Peggy and the rest of the crew at the PC, known for its chili, pool, and football fans. Maynard's a great destination for dinner and beers, so we'll let Auntie's friends know next time we play here.

12/26/2008 The Harvest Cafe, Hudson, MA. Good weather on Boxing Day brought lots of friends out to the Harvest. We debuted a bunch of new songs and had our usual great Pippa-prepared meals! Great seeing Ben and Maureen, Jeff and Trish, Joanie and the gang from western Massachusetts!

11/11/2008 Colonial Inn open mic, 48 Monument Square, Concord, MA. Steve and Derm met some great musicians and performed a few songs out back in the Forge Room. One of the best open mics around. Bruce Marshall -- star that he is -- runs one of the best open mics we've seen, making folks feel welcome, announcing every performer, adjusting sound and microphones for every act, and occasionally playing some back up. He opens the shows with a set of his own tunes, all great. We'll be back!

9/27/2008 The Bolton Fair, The Fairgrounds at Lancaster, 318 Seven Bridge Road, Lancaster, MA. The rain and mud did not stop us or the fair-goers from having a great time on Saturday. Greg on sound kept Auntie up and running for two hours -- then we got to sit back and listen to one great performance after another from Custom Blend, Red Molly, and the Theatre III cast of Jane Eyre. And watch the juggling-plus of Wade Henry. Thanks to Sandy, Victoria, Heather, JG and Caroline, and all the folks who made the show!

9/6/2008 8-10 pm The Harvest Cafe 40 Washington St., Hudson, MA. Another great dinner from Pippa and warm welcome from Karen. Of course Aunt Mimi brought a downpour, but the Harvest is the place to spend an evening when the weather's cold and wet. See you in November!

7/26/2008 The Java Room -- espresso, music, wine bar, Chelmsford, MA. About 100 of Steve's close friends (plus Ben and Maureen!) cheered us on. A rocking evening in July. Thanks to Candy and the staff -- we'll see you again soon!

7/4/2008 Private function.

4/20/2008 Farmer's Market Earth Day celebration, Bartlett Mall on High Street, Newburyport, MA. Lyra and friends put on the most organized volunteer show we've seen in years, with great sound. We made some new friends (thanks for the Buck tune, Liz) and look forward to coming back this summer.

3/8/2008 The Old Schwamb Mill, 17 Mill Lane, Arlington, MA We played the open house at this historic picture frame mill, now a historic site and gallery. The 19th century equipment is still very much operational, the wooden walls and floors virtually untouched since the place ceased regular business in the 1960s. Thanks to Grace, Ed, JG, Jen, Dale, Heather and her folks and our newest fan, Carolyn.

12/6/2007 - The Harvest Cafe, 40 Washington St., Hudson, MA Great dinner, as always, and a few loyal listeners on a frigid Thursday night. See you again soon!

10/5/2007 - The Harvest Cafe, 40 Washington St., Hudson, MA Our friend singer-songwriter Steve Howard hosted this open mike. We played twice, enjoyed the delicious fall menu (autumn vegetable ravioli was great), and caught some other great players. Ryan was the new guy, a high school student with his own originals, self-taught on guitar. Todd (formerly of The Accidentals) played some new and old originals, and Steve shared some really nice new compositions. Hope to make it back soon.

9/20/2007 - Java Jim's Espresso Bar & Cafe, Natick, MA. We played two sets unplugged outside this intimate coffeehouse venue -- one of the cool local stores participating in downtown Natick's monthly ARTWALK. Dominic brewed the coffee while Doug displayed his photographs within. Jeff sat in for a couple tunes - "Wash My Hands" and Woody Guthrie's "Dough-Re-Mi," appropriate enough for an art event. Thanks to him and Trish for coming to see us. The MacKays stopped by to catch the act as well. Thank you Sue at Flowers on the Depot for hooking us up with Java Jim's!

8/25/2007 - Porter's, Boston, MA -- Auntie played for two sets, all part of Porter's "Acoustic Summer Concert Series" presented by Anthem Entertainment. Thanks to Nancy, Sandy, and Don, for coming out to see us! Katie and Tierra - thanks for minding the gate. Andy, a Jayhawks fan, and Jim were manning the bar -- a hot summer night, but a cool time at Porter's!

1/17/2007 - Sit'n Bull open mic, Maynard, MA -- Truly one of the best sound systems around, especially for an open mic. See you soon. Also, dug the country and seventies hits from the crew.

7/4/2006 - Private function, Waltham, MA -- Suzanne -- thanks for having us, and thanks to John for the amazing grilling!
